Quick-n-dirty

Posted by mike on February 15th, 2007

I haven’t posted for a few days, and a few people have let me know. I’m glad someone is reading! The main reason for my lack of updates is simple. I’ve been busy. I was on-call for work last week, and it was one of the busier ones I’ve had. I also have a slew of project-related things I’m working on, so that has kept me at work late some days. In fact, I was up until at least 4am four different days last week. Three were for work, the other was due to the previously mentioned puking incident.

This week things are getting back to normal. Sort of. There is still plenty going on, but I have a bit more breathing room. I was out late Tuesday night picking up our taxes. The results were good, and Uncle Sam has to give us some cash back. Too bad it’s already been spent. lol!

I also ran for the first time in a few weeks on Monday, and somehow pulled something in or around my hip on the left side. It’s a very odd place to have pulled something, but that’s par for the course for me. I was going to try to run again yesterday and then again today, but it’s not feeling much better. If it’s not better by tomorrow, I’m just going to do it anyhow and see if it works itself out a little. The Anthem 5k is only 16 days away. I still intend to run, but I’d like to do it without a walker.

Finally, the weather outside is just lousy. Of course, most of you who read this know that already. I’m getting sick of the cold stuff. I don’t mind it being cold if it’s going to snow, but when there is no snow and all we get is bitter cold and little spurts of freezing mist, it’s just annoying. Either bring on some snow, or bring on spring!

That’s all for now… I have a few other tales, but I’ll save those for later. Gotta keep you coming back. =)
