Coke Rewards

In case you haven’t noticed, Coke now has a promotion going called “My Coke Rewards“. All bottles and packages of Coke, Diet Coke, and Coke Zero (and some other variations) have codes under the caps or stamped inside the package. If you are registered with Coke Rewards, you can enter these codes and cash them in for free stuff. In my ongoing life’s ambition to accumulate as much free stuff as possible, I am now collecting these codes.
The catch, of course, is that outside of providing Coca-Cola free marketing and consumer demographics information, you have to accumulate a fairly large amount of points in order to obtain the freebies. AND, you also only have 90 days from the data a code is entered to actually cash it in. That means in order to obtain the set of tumblers I would like (500 points), I’d have to drink the equivalent of 55 12-packs, or 167 bottles of soda. So even if my wife would let me, I think it’s safe to say that’s just not gonna happen.
HOWEVER - you can help me out!! Ever drink a coke or buy a 12-pack and just throw away the silly promotional cap or code when you’re finished? Well… waste not! Please send ME your codes via email or by using the “Contact” link at the top of this page! Together we can “stick it to the man”, so to speak.

Thanks! But… that’s not enough digits!! lol!
I guess I should clarify that “mycokerewards” wants you to tell it what KIND of Coke it was (regular, diet, zero), although I don’t know if it matters if you choose the wrong kind. And the code is like 15 alpha-numeric digits.

If I sent you the codes from the cokes I consumed in a year it wouldn’t even help you since altogether I drink maybe the equevilent of 1 or 2 cokes in 12 months. Maybe I can help you out by asking all the others around here to save them for you. Your father-in-law alone could add a big # to your rewards.

I’ve kicked myself for how many I’ve thrown away. I finally figured it’s kind of wasteful for me to toss them if Coke is going to give me something free for them! I’m up to like 70 points right now…
